October Confessions

Goodbye, October! 'Tis the season for all the fireside and cozy reads. I have a few ones that I am excited for, because that's what we need after this crazy year, right? Cozy reads for the win!

Books Read in October:
1.  The Lions of Fifth Avenue by Fiona Davis (Adult Historical Fiction) - 4 out of 5 stars
2.  The Glass Ocean by Karen White, Lauren Willig, and Beatriz Williams (Audio Book/Adult Historical Fiction) - 4 out of 5 stars - Review to come!
3.  Troubles in Paradise (Paradise #3) by Elin Hilderbrand (Adult Fiction) - 4 out of 5 stars
4.  Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier (Adult Fiction/Classic) - 4 out of 5 stars
5.  Chance of a Lifetime by Jude Deveraux and Tara Sheets - 3.5 out of 5 stars - Review to come!
6.  Jack Kennedy: Elusive Hero by Chris Matthews (Biography/Audio Book)  - 4 out of 5 stars - Review to come!

1. Favorite Book:  I think it's a tie between The Glass Ocean and Troubles in Paradise. Both books were good in their own ways...Troubles was a great escape and The Glass Ocean was a fantastic historical read---just what we would expect from Team W.

2.  Biggest Surprise: Rebecca really took my by surprise. I didn't except such beautiful writing and quote-worthy lines, but I guess that is what makes it a classic.

3.  Biggest Disappointment: Chance of a Lifetime was just ok for me. I was hoping to care much more for the characters and for the story to have more of an Outlander vibe. That wasn't the case, but it was a nice escape overall.

4.  Favorite Post: Books on the Big Screen: Rebecca

5.  Favorite Part of October: We had some warm days in October, so it was nice to still enjoy the sunshine and lots of walks outdoors.

How about you guys? What was your favorite book of the month? Let me know in the comments below
