Happy 2024! A new year and another opportunity to set some bookish goals. My bookish goal is the same as last year: to read more of the books I have on my shelf. Last year I attempted this goal, and while I think I did *ok* I need more of a solid plan. Going forward, I'd like to read one backlist book on my shelf per month. What are some of your 2024 bookish goals? What do you hope to read this month? Let me know in the comments.
Diva by Daisy Goodwin
I am definitely intrigued by Maria Callas and Daisy Goodwin doesn't disappoint.
The Heiress by Rachel Hawkins
I really enjoy thrillers in the winter and her last novel definitely kept me flipping the pages.
Recipe for a Charmed Life by Rachel Linden
I adored Linden's last novel, so I am excited to check out this one. Who doesn't like a little magical realism?
The Getaway List by Emma Lord
It's been awhile since I've read a good YA novel and Lord's are some of my favorites!
The Vacation House by Jane Shemilt
Another thriller filled with a lot of psychological suspense!
The Manor House by Gilly Macmillan
Another thriller on the list for this month filled with plot twists!
The Fury by Alex Michaelides
This is my BOTM pick and it's been getting a lot of buzz!
Strangers in the Night by Heather Webb
I've had this book on my shelf since it came out in early 2023, so I really want to make time for it in 2024. I am really looking forward to a novel about Frank Sinatra and Ava Gardner.
