Bookish Goals

Earlier this week I talked about my 2024 bookish goal, which is to read more of the books that have been collecting dust on my shelf. Here's a glimpse of some of the books on this list that I hope I can get to this year. If you have read any of these books, I'd love your thoughts on them in the comments below.

1. The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough  - I have actually never read romantic saga.

2. Where the Lost Wander by Amy Harmon - I heard this historical novel about the Oregon trail is fantastic.

3.  The Idea of You by Robinne Lee - I have been meaning to read this romance forever and now that it is going to be made into a movie, I must carve out some time!

4.  The King's Jewel by Elizabeth Chadwick - I am looking forward to reading a historical novel about medieval Wales.

5.  Summers at Castle Auburn by Sharon Shinn - This is a YA novel that I have been meaning to read for quite sometime. Sometimes you need a good fairy tale, right?

6.  The Paris Daughter by Kristin Harmel - I love a WWII novel and this one is about two mothers during the Nazi occupation.

7.  Circe by Madeline Miller - I am very intrigued by a novel inspired by Greek mythology.

8.  The Beach House by  Mary Alice Monroe - This is book one in the Beach House series and I have never read it despite reading other books in the series. I am a sucker for a southern beach read.

9.  Evvie Drake Starts Over by Linda Holmes - I heard this heartfelt read set in Maine is perfect for summertime.

10.  The Summer Girls by Mary Alice Monroe - Another beach read that I never made time for. It's the start of the Lowcountry Summer series.

11.  When a Scot Ties the Knot by Tessa Dare - This is a romance that I heard is perfect for Outlander fans.

12.  A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas - I need to continue with this series, especially since I enjoyed the first two books.

13.  The Rumor by Elin Hilderbrand - I have been trying to read Hilderbrand's backlist novels that I haven't gotten to yet. She rarely disappoints!

14.  Ransom by  Julie Garwood - This is book two in the Highlands' Lairds series and I've been meaning to read it for years!

So what books have been sitting on your bookshelf that you hope to get to this year? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. I need to catch up on some Elin Hilderbrand books, too! I always have a goal of reading from my own shelves. It seems like no matter how many I read, more keep appearing!
