What I'm Reading Next (41)

Oh, January. Ugh. I have such a love/hate relationship with this month, because it seems to go on forever and I am dreading it this year due to COVID. I imagine winter might be extra difficult this year. Knowing this, I am hoping to read more books that have been on my to-read list for quite awhile, (which makes me happy!), as well as many of the books I have to read for review.  What books do you hope to read this month?

You Have a Match by Emma Lord

I have really slacked in the YA department in 2020, mostly because the YA books that came out didn't really interest me. I am LOVING what I'm seeing for 2021 though and this one sounds really good. It involves a DNA service and the chaos that ensues when some family secrets come to a head.

Yellow Wife by Sadeqa Joihnson

This historical novel sounds like it is going to be gut-wrenching, but very important. It deals with an enslaved woman who lives in the an infamous slave jail in Virginia and she must fight for her freedom.

Shipped by Angie Hockman

I will definitely need a light romance/rom-com to get through this winter and this one sounds great.

The Last Garden in England by Julia Kelly

I love a good WWII book and this one connects five different women's lives that live during different times all connected by Highbury House. I hear it's perfect for fans of Downton Abbey. Also, I LOVE the cover.

The Invisible Woman by Erika Robuck

This one is based on the true story of Virginia Hall, a WWII veteran. I have long been a fan of Erika Robuck, so I am excited to read this historical novel. I am also part of the blog tour in February!

What book do you hope to read this month? Are any of these books on your TBR list? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. Yeah, I'm anticipating not really leaving the house in January! Your TBR looks great, I'd be interested in The Last Garden in England!
