May Confessions

What a strange May it has been!  I was able to read some good beach reads though and I am excited to read even more in June.  We all need a good escape, right?

Books Read in May:
1.  Feels Like Falling by Kristy Woodson Harvey (Adult Fiction) - 3.5 out of 5 stars
2.  Island Affair by Priscilla Oliveras (Adult Fiction) - 3 out of 5 stars - Review to come
3.  Summer Longing by Jamie Brenner (Adult Fiction) - 4 out of 5 stars - Review to come
4.  Oona Out of Order by Margarita Montimore (Audio Book/Adult Fiction) - 3.5 out of 5 stars - Review to come
5.  Hello, Summer by Mary Kay Andrews (Adult Fiction) - 4 out of 5 stars - Review to come
6.  Beach Read by Emily Henry (Adult Fiction) - 4 out of 5 stars - Review to come

Chapter Books:
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling (re-read with my son)

1. Favorite Book:  Beach Read was the perfect summertime read. I adored the setting, the witty banter, and the focus on writing a novel.

2.  Biggest Surprise:  There were no surprises this month!

3.  Biggest Disappointment: Island Affair was just an ok read for me despite the setting of the Florida Keys. The use of the fake boyfriend trope was a bit too much for me.

4.  Favorite Post:  9th Annual Summer Kickoff

5.  Favorite Part of May:  All the extra time outdoors has been fabulous. I even got to read a book my patio recently which was much needed!

How have you all been holding up? What was your favorite book of the month? Let me know in the comments below.
