What I'm Reading Next (6)

There's nothing better than cozying up by the fire and reading a good book, well, maybe reading on a tropical beach. But since summer is nowhere in sight here in Pennsylvania, I'll take a warm fire, a hot cup of tea, and a good novel. Here's what I plan to read this January:

Adult Fiction:

The English Wife by Lauren Willig
I didn't get to it last month and I definitely still want to check it out. I love the Gilded Age of New York setting and there's secrets, family drama, and even murder. Yes, please!

The Love Story Will Self-Destruct by  Leslie Cohen
I absolutely love When Harry Met Sally and this book is supposed to be reminiscent of it. I could use a good rom-com right about now.

Dangerous Crossing by Rachel Rhys
I love a good historical read in the winter and this one sounds very compelling.   It's set in 1939 aboard an ocean liner.

YA Fiction:

The Queen's Rising by  Rebecca Ross
I'm always on the hunt for a good YA fantasy.  I hear this is a good start to a new series, especially if you like Sarah J. Maas.

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S.Lewis
I have honestly never read this series, which is shocking, I know. My son and I plan to read this book together as a read aloud before bed. I'm excited to experience it with him!

What do you plan to read this month? Have you set a new Goodreads goal for 2018? Let me know!

  1. I love The Chronicles of Narnia! They are such wonderful books. I didn't read them until I was an adult, but I know kids would love them!

  2. I loved The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe when I was a kid. I still haven't read all of the books in the series. I should do that sometime.

I want to read The English Wife too. I'll be looking for your review of it.
