When I'm Not Reading YA: Baby Book Edition (2)

Last spring I wrote a post just like this one except it was all about baby preparation books. Now that my little one has arrived, we have been enjoying reading baby books.  Here are some of the books we have been reading lately and if you are interested to see what books we read this past fall, you can check it out here.

The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats
Remember the excitement you felt when you woke up to snow outside? That's what this book captures...the wonder of childhood on a snowy day. It's an oldie-but-goodie; plus, it's a Caldecott Award Winner.

Ten Little Finger and Ten Little Toes by Mem Fox
This book is adorable and the illustrations are fantastic. Who doesn't love baby's cute little fingers and toes?

Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown
I wouldn't be a true book nerd if my child didn't have a copy of this beloved classic.  For me, the rhymes and illustrations are what make this book a favorite.

Snuggle Puppy by Sandra Boynton
Simply put, this is such a fun book. It's definitely one of my favorite books to read aloud.

More More More Said the Baby by Vera B. Williams
This is a Caldecott Honor book and I love the fact that it has multiethnic families in it.

Baby Animals: In the Sea by Kingfisher
I love the real photographs of animals in this book. They are adorable and it's educational, too.

Snow Friends by M. Christina Butler
I love the illustrations in this book, especially the glitter on the snowman which makes it look real!  It's so eye-catching!  Not only is this book nice to look at, the story is also one worth reading as it deals with making friends and not being so lonely.

These are just some of the books we've been reading; Baby D has quite the library already.  Have you read any of these books? Are they any books that you recommend I add to his collection? Let me know!
