Books on the Big Screen

 

There's nothing better than watching one of your favorite books come to life as a movie or TV show. It has been quite awhile since I've shared what books are coming to our screens. There's some exciting book adaptations to look forward!

A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles - This bestseller is coming to Paramount TV as a miniseries. It's been on my TBR list forever!

 

 

Romancing Mr. Bridgerton by Julia Quinn - I can't wait for Bridgerton season three!

Dark Matter by Blake Crouch - This sci-fi novel is coming to Apple TV and has Jennifer Connelly attached to it.

Wicked by Gregory Maguire - This is the first of a two part feature film that comes out later this month.

The Color Purple by Alice Walker - This classic was made into a movie and is due out on December 25, 2023. It's a musical!

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid - It's coming to Netflix and I can't wait! It's only in the pre-production stages, but this book is a must read. 

One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez - This classic novel is also coming to Netflix.

Turtles All the Way Down by John Green - This wonderful YA novel is in the works to be made into a movie. It's currently in post-production.

 

 

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan - This new series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, is coming to Disney+ December 20th. I can't wait!

The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown - This nonfiction book focused on the University of Washington's rowing team has been turned into a movie due out December 25th, 2023.  George Clooney is directing!

 

 

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover - This movie is due out in February of 2024 with Blake Lively attached to it. I wasn't the biggest fan of this book, but I am curious about the movie version.

 

Dune: Part Two by Frank Herbert - Part II of this much-loved book is hitting big screens in March of 2024.

 

 

Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson - This classic picture book is being made into an animated movie due out summer of 2024. Zooey Deschanel is attached this one!
