What I'm Reading Next: My August TBR

August is the Sunday of summer, right? I am going to try to squeeze in all the beach reads this month. I didn't nearly read as many as I hoped this summer (I never do!), but this is my last chance to read as many as I can. I better dust off my ear buds, because I will need to be listening to a lot of audio books if I want to accomplish this.

1.  California Golden by Melanie Benjamin

I'm getting some major Gidget vibes from this one.

2.  The Summer Skies by Jenny Colgan

You can't go wrong with her adorable novels.

3.  It Happened One Fight by Maureen Lee Lenker

Bring on the 1930s setting!

4.  Gone Tonight by Sarah Pekkanen

Who doesn't love a good summertime thriller?

5. The Book of Silver Linings by Nan Ficher

I hear this is a feel-good romance.

6.  The Breakaway by Jennifer Weiner

I will always read her books!

7.  Magnolia Parks by Jessa Hastings

Everyone and I mean everyone has been talking about this book. I am finally going to read it now that Dutton has picked it up and hopefully gave it a good edit.

8.  The Connellys of County Down by Tracey Lange

I adored her debut novel, We Are the Brennans, so I can't wait to read this one.

Some Last Chance Beach Reads:

My Magnolia Summer by Victoria Benton Frank

I hear this one is cute; who doesn't love a beach read that takes place in the South Carolina Lowcountry?

Little Monsters by Adrienne Brodeur

I hear this is a beautifully written family drama set in Cape Cod

The Girls of Summer by Katie Bishop

I hear this is a good summer thriller, but it covers some serious issues.

On Fire Island by Jane L. Rosen

I really want to read this one; I mean look at the cover! *swoon* But it also deals with tough topics like terminal cancer, so I think you have to be in the right frame of mind.

Summer Reading by Jenn McKinlay

Reading this one now and it has everything you could want in a beach read! Also, this might be one of my favorite covers of the summer!

The Little Italian Hotel by Phaedra Patrick

I could use a summer vacation in Italy right about now!

So, that is my last-ditch effort to read all the beach reads before the I dive into all things fall and spooky. In an ideal world, I'd get through this whole list, but a girl can dream, right? What books do you hope to read this month?
