What I'm Reading Next (38)

Guys, it's October! Can you believe it? As much as I love summer, I will admit there's something special about curling up with a good book in the fall.  I love reading creepier books during this season, especially around Halloween. I already read Mexican Gothic, which was completely out of my comfort zone, so I hope to add a few more spooky reads to my October TBR list.

1.  Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier

I have (somehow!) never read this classic. It's been on my TBR list forever, so now is a great time to read it, especially with the Netflix movie coming out this month. I know many people love this atmospheric Gothic novel, so I am looking forward to check it out.

2.  Cobble Hill by Cecily von Ziegesar

I love a good drama and this one seems like fun. It's a family drama that follows four families for a year in an upscale Brooklyn neighborhood...sounds good, right? Plus, it's the author of the Gossip Girl series, which I loved!

3.  Troubles in Paradise by Elin Hilderbrand

It's the final novel in the Paradise series, so I am excited to return to this story.  Hopefully I will get some of my questions answered.

4.  Home Before Dark by Riley Sager

I don't normally read "horror" novels, but I love the sound of this one. I think I am definitely getting braver, so I am hoping to give this one a try right before Halloween.

5.  Eventide by Sarah Goodman

I try to read one YA book a month, so this one is my October pick. I love a good YA historical fantasy, so I hope this one doesn't disappoint.  Doesn't the cover seem like the perfect fall read?

What do you hope to read this month? Are any of these books on your TBR list? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. I have Rebecca on my October TBR, too! It's a reread for me, I hope I love it as much as the first time, and I hope you enjoy it, too!
