August/September Confessions

Whoa. So, September just flew by. August was a whirlwind too, which is why I am combining both months for this monthly wrap-up.  I have to say that even though I am a summer girl, I am actually looking forward to all that fall offers. Mostly because I am sick of all the rainy weather we have been having here in PA. Fingers crossed that we have a nice fall with some much needed sunshine!

Books Read in August/September:
1.  The High Tide Club by Mary Kay Andrews - (Adult Fiction) 3.5 out of 5 stars
2.  The Shadowy Horses by Susanna Kearsley (Adult Fiction/Audio Book) - 4 out of 5 stars
3.  The Secret of the Irish Castle (Deverill #3) by Santa Montefiore - (Adult Historical Fiction) - 4 out of 5 stars
4.  The Perfect Couple by Elin Hilderbrand - (Adult Fiction) - 4 out of 5 stars
5.  Something in the Water by Catherine Steadman (Adult Fiction) - 4 out of 5 stars
6.  After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid (Adult Fiction) - 4 out of 5 stars (Review to come!)
7.  Dreams of Falling by Karen White (Adult Historical Fiction) - 4 out of 5 stars (Review to come!)

1.  Favorite Book:  I'm going to surprise myself and say The Perfect Couple. Hilderbrand's last book didn't "wow" me, but I was very entertained by this beach read/murder mystery.

2.  Biggest Disappointment: No disappointments this month!

3.  Biggest Surprise: Something in the Water is a great thriller. I was pleasantly surprised by this debut author.

4.  Favorite PostI Watched the Show Before I Read the Book and Other Bookworm Confessions

5.  Favorite Part of August/September: In late August, we took our boys to Disney World for the first time. It was such a fun trip!

What have you guys been up to? Can you believe September is already over? What is your favorite book that you read this month? Let me know in the comments.
