What I'm Reading Next (9)

Alright, guys! It's goodbye to my feature Books By the Fire and hello to Books on the Patio since it's now April! And that means outdoor reading season, right?   I haven't been this excited for my TBR list in quite sometime. This month is going to be epic! For starters, it's BEACH READS season, which you guys know is my favorite. Here are the novels I hope to tackle this month and what would be great is if I could read a few of these outside....there's nothing better!

Adult Fiction:

The Husband Hour by Jamie Brenner - I really liked Jamie Brenner's last beach read, The Forever Summer, so I am excited to check this one out, especially since it takes place at the Jersey Shore. Bring on the beach reads!

Secrets to Southern Charm by Kristy Woodson Harvey - I really enjoyed Slightly South of Simple, which is book one in this series, so I can't wait to continue with it and revisit all the characters again.

My Dear Hamilton by Stephanie Dray and Lauren Kamoie - I absolutely loved their last novel, America's First Daughter, so I have high hopes for this one. I can't wait to learn more about Eliza Schuyler Hamilton.

Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren -  Somehow I have never read a novel by Christina Lauren, so where better to start than with her latest one? I hear it's romantic and a real-page turner!

YA Novels:

Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young - I'm told this one is a YA Vikings. Yes, please! I've read some great early reviews, so I definitely have high hopes.

Beyond a Darkened Shore by Jessica Leake - This book has received some mixed early reviews, but it also has such a Vikings vibe to it that I really want to give it a try. I hear if you enjoy historical fantasies, you should give this one a try as it takes place in ancient Ireland.

What do you hope to read this month? Are any of these books on your TBR list? Let me know in the comments.

  3. Ahhh, porch reads. That is absolutely wishful thinking in my neck of the woods, where we had a snowfall yesterday morning. but bring on the beach reads, I say!
