Waiting on Wednesday: All the Crooked Saints

This is a weekly meme hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine.  "Waiting on Wednesday" spotlights upcoming releases that I'm eagerly anticipating.

All the Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater
Pub. Date: October 10, 2017

Goodreads says, "Any visitor to Bicho Raro, Colorado is likely to find a landscape of dark saints, forbidden love, scientific dreams, miracle-mad owls, estranged affections, one or two orphans, and a sky full of watchful desert stars. At the heart of this place you will find the Soria family, who all have the ability to perform unusual miracles. And at the heart of this family are three cousins longing to change its future: Beatriz, the girl without feelings, who wants only to be free to examine her thoughts; Daniel, the Saint of Bicho Raro, who performs miracles for everyone but himself; and Joaquin, who spends his nights running a renegade radio station under the name Diablo Diablo. They are all looking for a miracle. But the miracles of Bicho Raro are never quite what you expect. Maggie Stiefvater has been called “a master storyteller” by USA Today and “wildly imaginative” by Entertainment Weekly. Now, with All the Crooked Saints, she gives us the extraordinary story of an extraordinary family, a masterful tale of love, fear, darkness, and redemption."

It's always a good thing when Maggie Stiefvater has a new book coming out. I still haven't read her Raven Cycle series, but I plan to.  This one also sounds promising. What do you guys think?

  1. Maggie Stiefvater comes up with such unique stories! I've only read a few of her books (and only the first of the Raven Cycle) but they are always interesting and a little bizarre, which I enjoy. Great pick, Christina!

  6. I got through about 1/2 of the third book before stopping. I hate when I do that. I actually quite like the series--I'm just weird like that sometimes. But YES to this. It sounds amazing and I love this cover!
