Sunday Post (15)

Giveaway: Wayfarer by Alexandra Bracken
Book Review: The Summer Queen by Elizabeth Chadwick
Waiting on Wednesday: Cocoa Beach

Coming up on the blog, I'll be sharing my thoughts on book five of the Outlander series.  Man, it took me many, many days to finish The Fiery Cross. There's over 1,400 pages! I love continuing with the Outlander series over the holidays though...I've been doing it the past few years and it's something I look forward to.  I also will be sharing my thoughts on Beatriz Williams' The Wicked City. I loved the setting of Prohibition Era NYC. So fun!

Royal Bastards by Andrew Shvarts - Thanks to Disney-Hyperion and NetGalley
I See London, I See France by Sarah Mlynowski  - Thanks to Edelweiss and Harper Teen

Coming Up For Air by Miranda Kenneally - Thanks to Sourcebooks and NetGalley

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

Have you read any of these books or are they on your TBR list? Let me know your thoughts! Thanks for visiting! This meme is hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

  1. I See London looks so cute, and I love Sarah Mlynowski's fun writing style. Royal Bastards is also one I'm really looking forward to! I love that you read Outlander every year over the holidays! That's a fun way to let your excitement build for it through the year! :D

    1. I have never read a Mlynowski novel, but have heard good things. i am excited to check it out! Thanks reading Outlander. I can only really read one Outlander novel a year because of their length, so the time between Xmas and NYE is always the perfect time for me to pick one up. It does have me excited for season three of the TV show coming this year! Thanks for visiting, Becky!

  3. I think Les Miserables is the longest book I've read and The Fiery Cross is even longer. I have a friend who just finished it too and she said it felt like she was reading that book forever. I have only read the first three and part of book four.

The Hating Game has been on my TBR list for awhile. I have been on the waitlist for months because I want to read the ebook version. Hope you enjoy it. I See London also looks fun. I love travel fiction :)

    Have a great week!

    1. YES! It did take forever. Thankfully the second half of the book really picked up. I am loving The Hating Game so far....I've read some incredible reviews for it. I hope you get your hands on a copy soon. Thanks for visiting, Christina!

  4. I've always shied away from the Outlander series--partly because of its size. My attention span is not what it used to be, and 1400 pages is kind of a deal breaker for me. I definitely cannot wait for Sarah Mlynowski's new book, love her, and I've checked out The Hating Game, like, 3 times from the library. I really do want to read it! Lol.

    1. YES! I completely agree. I am a huge fan of the characters, so that is what pulls me in. It takes me quite awhile to read through it, so I always set aside the time between Xmas and NYE to continue with the series....it always seems like the perfect time. I hope you get to read The Hating Game soon. So far I am loving it! Thanks for visiting, Natalie!

  6. I got Coming Up for Air for review as well. I don't adore Miranda Kenneally the way that others seem to, but I am looking forward to a quick, light read. I look forward to seeing what you think of it as well. I've never heard of the other two books that you got for review, but I'm going to go look them up because they seem interesting haha! Have a great week :)

  9. The Hating Game seems really popular so I hope you enjoy it. I've not read The Outlander series but a friend of mine loves it. I started watching the TV show but struggled a little, though could probably get into it with more stamina!
