Top Ten Tuesday: Authors I've Read the Most Books From

This week's Top Ten Tuesday is focusing on authors I've read the most books from. Here are my results according to Goodreads:

1.  Philippa Gregory (16 books) - I am not surprised by this. She is an auto-buy author for me and my favorite historical fiction author. Favorite: The White Queen

2.  William Shakespeare (13 books) - I blame this on my undergraduate work as an English major.  Favorite: Romeo and Juliet

3.  Charlaine Harris (11 books) - I went through a major Sookie Stackhouse phase back in 2007/2008. There was one summer where I read most of this series. I never finished it though. Favorite: Dead Until Dark

4.  Sarah Dessen (10 books) - I have read most of her books...I believe there are just two that I still need to read. She is one of my favorite YA contemporary authors. Favorite: The Truth About Forever

5.  Cassandra Clare (7 books) - I still need to get caught up on the Mortal Instruments series, but I adored every book in the Infernal Devices series.  She's a favorite fantasy author of mine. Favorite: Clockwork Angel

6.  Richelle Mead (7 books) - I loved The Vampire Academy series. I was obsessed. Favorite: Last Sacrifice

7.  Nicholas Sparks (7 books) - Ugh. I am not really a fan of Sparks anymore, but back in the day, I went through a Sparks phase and read a lot of his books. After awhile, I started to notice they all followed a certain formula though.  Favorite: The Notebook

8.  Jenny Han (6 books) - No explanation needed if you know me. She's the best. Favorite: The Summer I Turned Pretty

9.  Jane Austen (6 books) - Also, no explanation needed. I adore her books and want to continue to re-read them.  Favorite: Pride and Prejudice

10.  Adriana Trigiani (6 books) - I think her books are so fun and are spot-on when it comes to the Italian-American culture. Favorite: The Shoemaker's Wife

So, what do you guys think? I have a really diverse group here, but I like a lot of different genres, so I sort of expected this.  I also have met four out of ten of these authors...not bad since two are deceased! Who are some of the authors you've read the most books from?  Let me know what you think in the comments below! This meme is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish

  1. I'm not surprised to see Philippa Gregory or Sarah Dessen on your list! I'm not sure who I've read the most from. I did read the entire Sookie Stackhouse series even though the later books were a disappointment. I have also read a lot of Cassandra Clare's but still need to get caught up in both series. I have read Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series. As far as Shakespeare goes I took a class on Shakespeare in college so I've read several of the plays but still have a lot to read.

By the way, the new Adriana Trigiani book is available to request as an ARC through Edelweiss. It is about Loretta Young and Clark Gable. Sounds fascinating!

    1. Haha. You know me well, Christina! I stopped with the Sookie Steakhouse series as well, because the last few weren't as good....I agree! OMG. Thanks for letting me know about Adriana Trigiani's latest book. I love her books. I will have to check it out. Thanks for visiting!

  2. Aww, this is so much fun, Christina! I'd totally forgotten about the Sookie Stackhouse books; I've read 10 of them and then I gave up - ha! I love Adriana Trigiani, as well; I can't wait to see how her new one turns out. Thanks so much for sharing these; such a fun post!

    1. Me too. I think I got to number ten in the series and stopped b/c it just wasn't working. I even gave up on the TV show even though I loved the first few seasons. Thanks for visiting, Tara!

  3. Great list!! Richelle Mead made my list as well. I just finished her Vampire Academy series and can't wait to start Bloodlines. I'm working my way through Sarah Dessen and Cannandra Clare's books as well, but I haven't read enough yet to include them in this week's top ten.

    1. The Sookie Steakhouse books are awesome, at least the first few in the series, and then I think it got redundant since there are SO many. I love Philippa Gregory...highly recommended if you enjoy historical fiction...she's the best! Thanks for visiting, Carrie!
