Top Ten Tuesday: Books On My Fall TBR List

So, this week are sharing our fall TBR list this week and I have to say mine is all over the place. I've got some spooky young adult reads, historical fiction for adults, contemporary young adult fiction, and even middle grade fiction.

1.  The King's Curse (The Cousins' War #6) - Guys, I love this series and will read anything Philippa Gregory writes, except that weird Wideacre series. Not that.  Anyway, this series is highly recommended for fans of historical fiction.

2.  The Swap by Megan Shull - I haven't read a middle grade book in quite sometime and this one seems adorable.

3.  Wish You Were Italian by Kristin Rae - This one is left over from my summer reading list and any book that takes place in Rome is a must-read for me!

4.  Even in Paradise by Chelsey Philpot - This is one of my most anticipated reads for fall 2014.  I mean look at that cover!  And early readers are saying it's very Gatsby, which I love!

5.  Cure for Dreaming by Kat Winters- This one needs to be read around Halloween!

6.  Compulsion by Martina Boone - This book is one of my most anticipated reads of the year. The cover is hands down one of my favorites of 2014, if not the favorite and the premise sounds right up my alley. Southern plantations? Curses? Sign me up.

7.  Voyager (Outlander #3) by Diana Gabaldon - I am dying to continue with this awesome series, but the books are so darn long. I just need to find time!

8.  Ruth's Journey by Donald McCaig - I love Gone with the Wind so very much and am looking forward to reading a story from Mammy's perspective.

9.  Suspicion by Alexandra Monir - I love Monir's first book, Timeless, so I am excited to check out her latest read. It's a fresh twist on the classic Rebecca.

10.  Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins - I finally got my hands on a copy and am looking forward to reading this one in early fall. I loved Anna and the French Kiss big time, so I am hoping this doesn't disappoint.

What do you think of my list? Let me know which books are on your fall TBR pile. This meme is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

  1. I'd like to start Outlander, which I've had forever...and start the show, too! Ohh, Suspicion, that's on my TBR list for sure! And Isla!! Yes, you must!!!! Can't wait to see your review of it!

    1. Oh, Bonnie. You must start Outlander and then watch the TV show. Both are excellent if that genre is your kind of thing. There are some cringe-worthy moments in Outlander, but overall, it's fantastic. I am so excited for Suspicion as well. Thanks for visiting, Bonnie!

  2. Great list!! I just finished reading Isla and really enjoyed it. Suspicion and Even in Paradise are both on my TBR list, but didn't make my top 10. I hope you enjoy all of your fall books!!

    1. I know! I heard some people had a problem with it and the Gatsby vibe, but I love Gatsby, so maybe I'll be ok with it? *fingers crossed* Thanks for visiting, Leanna!

  5. Completely agree for Philippa Gregory's series. I was blown away with her best-sellers "The other Boleyn Girl" and especially "The Boleyn Inheritance". Great list :)

  7. Great list! I've read a bunch of Gregory's books, she does great historical fiction. I have Suspicion for review, but I've actually never read Rebecca so I want to read that first and since Suspicion is a retelling.

    1. Yes, she is one of the best, in my humble opinion. I have never read Rebecca either! I really should…maybe I will before Suspicion, too! Thanks for visiting!

  11. Isla and the Happily Ever After is also on my list, but way down the list. There really is not conquering this pile since I keep adding new titles to it without seeming to bring it down at all.

    1. I know, Anne! I specifically created a goal that I would read more books on my shelf this year and I failed miserably! Too many new books coming out that catch my eye! Thanks for visiting, Anne!

  14. I liked Voyager and I need to get caught up on the rest of the books someday. They are really long books!

I am not familiar with Compulsion. I will have to look it up on Goodreads.

    1. I'm glad you liked Voyager. I am hoping to read it soon. The length really deters me from starting them though even though I know I'll love it. Thanks for visiting, Christina!

  15. Isla and the Happily Ever After was really sweet! Such fabulous characters, although Anna is still my favorite of the three. But Isla's a close second!

Hope you enjoy all of them :D
