Waiting on Wednesday: Just One Day

This is a weekly meme hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine.  "Waiting on Wednesday" spotlights upcoming releases that I'm eagerly anticipating.

Just One Day by Gayle Forman
Pub. Date: January 8, 2013

Goodreads says, "When sheltered American good girl Allyson "LuLu" Healey first meets laid-back Dutch actor Willem De Ruiter at an underground performance of Twelfth Night in England, there’s an undeniable spark. After just one day together, that spark bursts into a flame, or so it seems to Allyson, until the following morning, when she wakes up after a whirlwind day in Paris to discover that Willem has left. Over the next year, Allyson embarks on a journey to come to terms with the narrow confines of her life, and through Shakespeare, travel, and a quest for her almost-true-love, to break free of those confines. Just One Day is the first in a sweepingly romantic duet of novels. Willem’s story—Just One Year—is coming soon!"

*There are a few things that excite me about Just One Day. First off, Gayle Forman is an incredible writer and I'll read anything that she writes.  If you haven't read If I Stay, you MUST! Secondly, the incorporation of traveling through Europe and Shakespeare is brilliant.  Lastly, that cover is ah-may-zing! What do you guys think?

  2. Sounds good. I'm wondering if she gets knocked up. I like the somber cover. :)

  5. I read the first two chapters of this on the Penguin Teen sneak peek and I love it already! It's also available to request on Edelweiss! I know I won't get it, because they don't seem to approve non-US bloggers, but you might! :)
