Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Want To Reread

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  I'm excited to participate; after all, I make lists FOR EVERYTHING!  This week's topic focuses on books that I want to reread...*sigh*.....if only I had more time!

1.  The White Queen by Philippa Gregory- After reading The Lady of the Rivers and learning more about Jacquetta of Luxembourg, I want to revisit this story, especially knowing what I know now.

2.  Little Women by Louisa May Alcott- It's been awhile since I've read this classic!

3.  The Summer series by Jenny Han- I'm obsessed. Can I just live in these books?

4.  Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery- It's been such LONG time since I've read this book. Perhaps I will pick this book up again this coming winter.

5.  Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell- I loved this book in middle school and high school. I wonder how I'd feel about it now?

6.  Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen-  I'm obsessed and I would love to reread this book again. In fact, if I could wake up tomorrow at Pemberly, I would.

7.  The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald- I haven't read this classic since my AP American Studies course in high school.  I think I should definitely revisit this, especially with the upcoming movie.

8.  The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner- I HATED this book in high school; I should pick it up again just to see if I still loathe it.

9.  Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins- This is one of my favorite contemporary reads and I wouldn't mind rereading this one again. I could use a little bit of Paris right about now!

10.  The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins- I think I may reread this brilliant novel, especially before the movie comes out.

Let me know what you think! Do you agree with my choices?

  1. I have never read any of Gregory's books but was very excited to hear that she was planning a YA series and will most certainly be reading it. I am definitely planning on rereading The Hunger Games series too as I think reading them on right after another will give me a new perspective.

  6. This is such a great list, with again so many great books I haven't read yet. Last weekend I saw the Little Women movie. I hadn't seen it and it just wowed me. Want to watch it again, so I'm going to order it very soon. :)

  8. Haha...I love that you'd reread a book you previously hated. But our tastes to change as we age - maybe I should follow your example :)

  10. I would love to reread Anna and the French Kiss -- that's definitely a book I would like to live in! And I'm with you on Jenny Han's Summer books, too. I still have the third book to read . . . I'm saving it for a rainy day!
