June Confessions

Fort Zach Beach, Key West
Wow! Where has June gone? It can't believe how quickly it flew by.  Time always flies when you are having fun. June has been a great month. I spent a weekend down the shore and vacationed in Key West with friends.  What more could a girl ask for?

Also, I finished another school year, graded finals, cleaned up my classroom, and completed report cards, which means I didn't get as much reading done as I usually do.  With July coming, I know I will definitely have more time to relax....at least I hope so!

Books Read in June:

1.  Wanderlust by Elisabeth Eaves
2.  Sometimes It Happens by Lauren Barnholdt
3.  Moonglass by Jessi Kirby
4.  Viola in the Spotlight by Adriana Trigiani
5.  Torment by Lauren Kate
6.  Illusions by Aprilynne Pike

My June Top Five:

1.  Favorite Book:  Moonglass by Jessi Kirby - I loved this debut novel!

2.  Biggest Surprise:  Illusions by Aprilynne Pike- I wasn't sure about this one, since it's the third in the series, but I actually liked it even more than Wings and Spells.

3.  Biggest Letdown: Viola in the Spotlight by Adriana Trigiani- I love Trigiani's adult books, but was a tad disappointed by this YA book.

4.  Favorite Post: The end of my Summer Kickoff Feature

5.  Favorite Part of June:  Key West, baby!

Giveaways:
Don't forget that my International Summer Kickoff Giveaway ends today!  Also, be sure to check out my giveaway for Wanderlust by Elisabeth Eaves, which is a great travel memoir.  I am also giving away 10 copies of Mercy by Rebecca Lim and a copy of Viola in the Spotlight by Adriana Trigiani.  Good luck!

I'm off to the beach tomorrow for the holiday weekend.  Happy 4th of July! I'll be posting more after the holiday weekend. Enjoy it!

  1. June has gone really fast hasn't it? I feel like I've blinked and now it's over. Sounds like you had a pretty amazing month though with getting to go on such a fabulous vacation! Looking forward to your reviews in July:)

  2. Have fun at the beach! I'm hoping that July is going to be great month for the both of us. With great weather (please let the sun come out!) and some awesome books to keep us entertained. ;)

  3. June has gone so quickly! I hope you have a great holiday weekend at the beach! It's still mostly raining over here. :(

I really want to read Moonglass. Loved your review of that one! :)

  4. I haven't been reading much either. We still have two weeks left and so much to cram in before we break for the holiday. I'm hoping I'll have more time for reading and blogging in August.
