In My Mailbox #54

City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare
*This is one of my most highly anticipated reads of 2011.  Can't wait to read this one!
Goodreads says, “City of Fallen Angels takes place two months after the events of City of Glass. In it, a mysterious someone’s killing the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine’s Circle and displaying their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to provoke hostility between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, leaving tensions running high in the city and disrupting Clary’s plan to lead as normal a life as she can — training to be a Shadowhunter, and pursuing her relationship with Jace. As Jace and Clary delve into the issue of the murdered Shadowhunters, they discover a mystery that has deeply personal consequences for them — consequences that may strengthen their relationship, or rip it apart forever. Meanwhile, internecine warfare among vampires is tearing the Downworld community apart, and only Simon — the Daylighter who everyone wants on their side — can decide the outcome; too bad he wants nothing to do with Downworld politics. Love, blood, betrayal and revenge: the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels.”

A NEW Kindle!
*I was so surprised to have won this from Melina at Reading Vacation's giveaway. I've always wanted a Kindle and since my mom and my husband have been borrowing my old e-reader, I now have one of my own! I also can't get over how light and thin the Kindle is.  Thank you so much, Melina!

Paper Towns by John Green
*Thanks to Anne at Potter, Percy and I, I won an autographed copy of this book.  I've been wanting to read it for awhile now. Everyone should check out her blog, too! I had the pleasure of meeting Anne and her mom at PAYA last year; they are the nicest people.  Thanks so much, Anne!
Goodreads says, "Quentin Jacobsen has spent a lifetime loving the magnificently adventurous Margo Roth Spiegelman from afar. So when she cracks open a window and climbs back into his life - dressed like a ninja and summoning him for an ingenious campaign of revenge - he follows. After their all-nighter ends and a new day breaks, Q arrives at school to discover that Margo, always an enigma, has now become a mystery. But Q soon learns that there are clues - and they’re for him. Urged down a disconnected path, the closer he gets, the less Q sees of the girl he thought he knew. Printz medalist John Green returns with the brilliant wit and searing emotional honesty that have inspired a new generation of listeners."

What did you get in your mailbox? Have you read any of these books? Let me know what you think.   This meme is hosted by The Story Siren.
