Random Saturday Thoughts

*I created a new menu (above) that highlights some of my travel posts. It includes a few of the places that I've traveled to since I started blogging and a few of my favorite locations that I've visited before blogging.  I included some of my favorite restaurants, bars, hotels, etc.  Let me know what you think! As I travel to more locations, I hope to update this section of the blog. For now, it's a work in progress.

*Check out this amazing Pride and Prejudice book purse that my friend Katie made for me. If you remember, I wrote about her book purses before. I love it! If you are interested in obtaining a book purse of your own, be sure to check out her Esty shop, Katie Did Create.

*So, I am obsessed with the new Starz show Camelot. I saw episode one last night (a sneak preview, because it doesn't come out until April) and I was hooked.  I thought the casting was perfect.  Eva Green is a fantastic Morgan and Joseph Fiennes is a captivating Merlin.  I can't wait to see episode two.

*Also, I read Women Know Everything by Karen Weekes and it's the perfect book for quote lovers. It includes fun quotes from a variety of different women, such as Betty White, Michelle Obama, Tina Fey, Lady Gaga and Princess Diana.  What I also like is the fact that it organizes quotes by topics and the topics include everything from success, procrastination, behavior, and being single.  A big thank you to Quirk Books for sending me this book. I plan to use some of the quotes in my classroom this month, because March is Women's History Month after all!

*There are many fabulous e-books on sale for the Nook.

  • Steals for 99 cents:
    • Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr, Grimm's Fairy Tales by Brothers Grimm, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fizgerald, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, Complete Works of Poe by Edgar Allan Poe,  Complete Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery

  • Deals for $1.99-2.99:
    • Radiance by Alyson Noel, The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting, The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and Marked by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast.

Hope you guys have a great weekend,
