August Confessions

Jamaican Sunset

August was a crazy month! I went on vacation to Jamaica with my husband and our friends, I was godmother to my best friend's daughter, I went to the PAYA Book Festival and met incredible authors and bloggers, and lastly, I went back to school/work.  It was definitely a busy month.  This year I am teaching 6th and 8th grade, which are can be challenging, because they are so very different.  I'm looking forward to a nice long Labor Day weekend down the shore as long as the weather holds up!  I'm sad to see summer go, but I am excited for the beautiful fall weather, football, and of course, apple pie.

Books Read in August:
1.  Angel Star by Jennifer Murgia
2.  Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr
3.  Rules of Attraction by Simone Elkeles
4.  Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer
6.  Brava, Valentine by Adriana Trigiani
7.  Minder by Kate Kaynak
8.  Dark Flame by Alyson Noel
9.  Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
11.  The Grammar Devotional by Mignon Fogarty
12.  Coffeehouse Angel by Suzanne Selfors
13.  Matched by Ally Condie (review to come!)

My August Top Five:

1.  Favorite Book:  Matched by Ally Condie- It was an amazing book! Look for my review this week!

2.  Biggest Letdown:  Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr - I just thought it was ok- a middle of the road kind of book for me.

3.  Biggest Surprise:  Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer- WOW!  I definitely want to read the other books in this series.

4.  Favorite Post: PAYA Book Festival

5.  Favorite Part of August: My Jamaican vacation
