Teaser Tuesday #18

A weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title and the author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers.

Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy #5) by Richelle Mead

"The thing that really sucks about being psychically linked to someone is that you have a pretty good idea when they're lying - or in this case, not lying.  Still, my response was immediate and instinctive.  "That's not true." (page 308).

* I am pretty much obsessed with this series.  I think it's one of the best young adult series out there. Unlike some other series that I've read lately, Richelle Mead never disappoints.  This book has got me completely hooked.  So far, I highly recommend it.   Anyone else a fan?

  2. Great teaser! I loved Spirit Bound and the Vampire Academy series in general. I'd noticed the books for years at the library but never bothered to try reading them until this past March. I'm so glad I did because now it is my favorite vampire series.

  7. Glad you're enjoying it! I'm pretty afraid to pick up any of the mass amounts of YA paranormal books these days, but since you're recommending this series, maybe I'll give it a shot! Thanks for visiting The Crowded Leaf.

  9. I'm not sure we're meant to know what people are thinking. It's too potentially awkward and painful. Good teaser, though.

    My teaser is here.

  18. I love VA! I kinda liked the first book but I'm so glad I stuck with the series because it just gets better and better. Richelle is such a sweetie and I love how she's made Rose and Lissa so different, but both very strong and powerful young women! I've also never read a series that had two love interests I cared for so much! I used to adore Dimitri, but once Adrian came into the picture, he stole the show! :D
